Michelle and Oliver work and live in Singapore, but wanted a stunning New Zealand venue for their destination wedding on Waiheke Island. Oliver’s family were all coming from the UK, so they were looking for a private home that could house them all.
The luxury private home with three private beaches that they choose, exceeded all their expectations. They had their wedding ceremony in a tree lined grove next to the beach, then their bridal party photo shoot on the beach, while guests mingled and had canapés and drinks on the lawn next to the beach. Michelle and Oliver were extremely lucky with the weather, timing their wedding ceremony between rain showers. This highlights the importance of a wedding planner to coordinate a back up wet weather plan on the day.
Michelle and Oliver had a marquee on the lawn next to the beach for their reception, providing a three course meal for 110 guests. Then later in the night they danced the night away on an outside dance floor next to the beach, romantically lit up with the sea sparkling in the background. Those not dancing could watch from the outdoor bar area, lit with bamboo torches along the beach edge.
This wedding was truly sensational and a pleasure to bring to life.
Jenny was amazing and I don’t how we would have done without her.I would say really came into her own in the 72hrs before the wedding when we wanted to be with family and friends, not tying up the dozens of loose ends.
Organizing marquee hire and finding a venue is not necessarily that hard. I would say the real value is in sorting out all the smaller things, that individually don’t seem like much, but when you add them all up they become a huge task and very daunting… like tracking down the high chair, and finding the additional umbrellas for the string quartet etc.
Having her pulling the strings and managing the whole event on the day means that we and our families, bridal party and MC can all relax and enjoy the day rather than be trying to run the event ourselves. It would have been a total shocker without Jenny, and I doubt the day would have been half as fun and enjoyable for us without her there.
Cheers, Oliver |
